To bind in the shackle; Corrosion, dust, salt, sand and mud, all play their part in causing the spring bushes. This binding spoils the vehicle's ride-quality, as a shackle needs to pivot freely for the leaf to provide the correct spring action and a comfortable ride.
Regular lubrication is a must to prevent binding and to ensure optimum performance.
With standard shackles, this is not usually practical, as the springs
must be removed from the vehicle for the bushes to be serviced. Our
Shackle and pine take Just ten minutes to lubricate. It does make a big difference. You will get a better ride, and your bushes will last longer too.
Technical Features:
- Case-hardened to 2 mm, providing greater resistance to wear, and results in increased pin and bush life.
- Feature machined surfaces (not pressed or cast). Allows for greater dispersion of grease, and helps reduce shackle/pin wear.
- Galvanised and plated. Provides greater resistance to corrosion.
- Two grease points per shackle for ease of servicing.
